Project: Seeds & Snacks Brand Identity
Brief: To create a playful & sophisticated brand identity for Seeds & Snacks, an educational experience combining gardening, baking, and sustainability for children and their families.
Goals: To curate a playful with a hint of sophistication type system, an earthy and fun color palette that resonates with both children and parents, and a visual language that communicates learning, nature, and deliciousness.
Process: The brand identity development for Seeds & Snacks began with a deep understanding of its core mission: to create a fun and educational experience around gardening, baking, and sustainability for families. This involved researching existing educational brands and analyzing how they communicate with both children and adults. The conceptual phase focused on developing a visual language that was both engaging for kids and trustworthy for parents. Logo explorations centered around incorporating elements that represented growth (seeds, sprouts). The chosen logo balances playfulness with sophistication.
The color palette was carefully selected to reflect the earthy nature of gardening and the vibrant energy of learning and play. This involved pairing grounding tones like sage green and burnt sienna with more inviting accents such as sky blue and cotton candy pink. Typography aimed for a balance of approachability and clarity, utilizing a rounded, friendly sans-serif as secondary text to ensure readability, paired with a flowing, display font for headings to inject sophistication. The final stage involved developing brand guidelines that demonstrated how these elements would be applied across various touch points, including class materials, subscription boxes, the online platform, and merchandise.


Solution: The resulting brand identity for Seeds & Snacks is both inviting and informative, effectively communicating its educational and engaging nature. The logo visually blends the core themes of growth and enjoyment. The earthy yet fun color palette appeals to both children's sense of wonder and parents' desire for wholesome experiences. The carefully chosen typography ensures readability while adding a touch of playful sophistication. This comprehensive brand identity provides a strong foundation for Seeds & Snacks to connect with its audience and deliver a memorable learning experience across all its interactive classes, subscription kits, and online platform.
